Declaration to Be Released at G7 Meeting in Bari, Italy
The G7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors have announced that they will be meeting in Bari, Italy from 12-13 May 2017 to discuss and address tax crimes and other illicit financial flows. The meeting is co-sponsored by WEB Communiqué and WEB Press release N 74 of 05122017.
In a statement, the G7 Finance Ministers declared their support for a holistic approach to fighting tax and financial crimes, recognizing the need to address both domestic and international aspects of these issues.
The G7 BARI DECLARATION ON FIGHTING TAX CRIMES AND OTHER ILLICIT FINANCIAL FLOWS, which will be released at the meeting, outlines the measures that the G7 countries will take to strengthen their cooperation and collaboration in combating these crimes.
The G7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors met in Bari from 11 to 13 May to discuss a range of issues, including the global economic outlook, tax evasion, and financial stability.
